A survey shows that among the 300-plus pavilions at the Shanghai World Expo, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion has become the favorite pavilion of Chinese tourists, beating out the Japan Pavilion, according to news from the China News Service.

Since the Shanghai World Expo opened two months ago, the total number of visitors has exceeded 25 million, and the number of daily visitors reached between 350,000 and 500,000 in July.

The survey was conducted by the Horizon Research Consultancy Group, who came to the conclusion by conducting surveys in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Dalian, Xi'an and Jinan. The survey shows that the China Pavilion, Saudi Arabia Pavilion and Japan Pavilion received the highest evaluations and the China Pavilion and U.S. Pavilion are the most anticipated pavilions.

The China Pavilion is so popular mainly because the pavilion is very attractive and the Chinese visitors are very patriotic. The image of the red bracket "Oriental Crown" has deeply impressed visitors. The widescreen IMAX of "the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" and the No. 1 bronze chariots and horses from the Terra Cotta Warriors are also exhibited in the China Pavilion.

According to the survey, among the favorite foreign pavilions of those who have visited the World Expo, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion with the world's biggest IMAX display hall "Moon Boat " was most popular. The Saudi Arabia Pavilion has attracted about 16 million visitors by now, which amounts to nearly 20,000 visitors a day on average. Those who want to visit the "Silk Road Treasure Ship" may need to wait for five to six hours in line, if they are not there early enough.
