A calendar reality show, which originated in America, has been introduced in Beijing and "Brother Calendar," who always dresses in the giant panda costume play clothes and poses for different dates, has become the hottest new Web celebrity on Chinese Web sites.
Holding a scythe and axe on International Labor Day, a needle tube for Nurses' Day, a telephone to represent Telecommunication Day and a big bottle of milk for International Milk Day, "Brother Calendar" posed for all these festivals and edited with image software.
"Brother Calendar" was born in 1980s. Unlike other Web celebs, he seemed to be a shy boy when being interviewed.

He told the reporter that he started doing this after the Yushu earthquake in April this year. He joined in an activity initiated by a Chinese Web site.
"I just wanted to make some profit from this activity and donate all the money to the quake-hit area," he said.
In fact, Brother Calendar's show was so attractive that he didn't choose his birthday as a theme like most other participants. Instead, he chose some unpopular day, such as Teeth-loving Day (Sept. 20), International Family Day (May 15) and shot his novel calendar reality show photos.
