Xie Renshan, an artist in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province has painted 100 tigers in different postures with an electric iron on rice paper and he is preparing for apply for the Guinness Record, according to chinanews.com
Xie told the reporter that he loved painting when he was still a small child. Year 2010 is the tiger year according to Chinese zodiac tradition. As a result, Xie decided to create a smallest poker picture, which is form of Chinese paining, named "Hundred Tigers" to show the Chinese traditional culture and pray for fortune to come to Chinese all around the world.

There are 100 tigers in various postures on the 126 centimeters wide and 6 centimeters long rice paper. The largest tiger is 5.5 centimeters long, while the smallest one is only 1.6 centimeters long. Each tiger is lifelike.
The poker picture was called "fire needle embroider" in the old days. It's one of the rarest painting styles in ancient China which was originated from West Han Dynasty and popular in East Han Dynasty. Due to ongoing upheavals in the period, the crafts were once even lost for a time. Later, different sects were formed in different areas, such as Henan and Hebei.
