Madonna, who starred in "A League of Their Own," a movie about a womens' professional baseball league, has been linked to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

Us Weekly magazine reported Tuesday on it website that A-Rod has been seen making late-night visits to Madonna's New York apartment. Rodriguez has made "numerous" visits to Madonna's apartment, even as late as midnight, Us Weekly reported, citing an unnamed source.

Guy Oseary, who is a representative for both Rodriguez and Madonna, hung up the phone without comment when asked about the two, Us Weekly reported.

Madonna's marriage to Guy Ritchie has hit a tough spot, according to several reports, although Madonna's rep denied there are any plans to divorce, Reuters reported.

Rumors that the London-based couple planned to split have been circulating for months, fueled most recently by reports that the singer had lined up Fiona Shackleton, a lawyer for Paul McCartney in his bitter divorce from Heather Mills.

Rodriguez, 32, is married with two children, but was reportedly linked to a stripper in several cities in 2007. Rodriguez has denied those reports.

The buzz began building about Rodriguez and Madonna because he attended her April 30 concert in New York, and she sat in his seats at a Yankees game on June 22.
