A 32-year-old woman has died of bird flu in the Indonesian town of Tangerang, bringing total death toll to 95, a health official said Monday.
The woman has been treated at the Sari Asih Hospital in Tangerang, just south of Jakarta, for suspected bird flu symptoms but her family has insisted to take her home for unknown reasons, said Dessyana, a staff of the media office with the Health Ministry.
"The patient died at her home on Thursday, and laboratory test results we get on Monday showed that she was positive of having bird flu," Dessyana told Xinhua.
Since bird flu was found in human in the country in 2003, there have been 118 confirmed cases, according to Indonesia's health ministry data. Source:Xinhua
