This earthquake proof house made from bamboo was designed by Zhang Qisheng of Nanjing Forestry University and Lv Zhitao of Southeast University, who are both academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The house was completed recently in Nanjing with its eight degree seismic fortification intensity.
