Great Wall section built 1,500 years ago found in Beijing

Staff of the Changping Cultural Relics Bureau explores a newly found section of the Great Wall built before the Ming dynasty. (Beijing Daily/Xing Jun)
Changping Bureau of Cultural Relics released Wednesday its latest findings about the Great Wall ruins. It said that a heretofore unknown 19-kilometer Great Wall ruin has been discovered in Changping District. Preliminary study indicates the ruin was built in Northern Qi Dynasty, which is 1,500 years from today.
