
SUVA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Vanuatu at 5:57:39 a.m. Tuesday (18:57:39 GMT on Monday), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 204.20 km, was initially determined to be at 16.3893 degrees south latitude and 167.9160 degrees east longitude.
