Eight killed in car crash in Azerbaijan

BAKU, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were burnt to death in a car crash in Azerbaijan, the Interior Ministry's press service said Monday.

The accident occurred on the Baku-Guba highway Sunday, when a car with five passengers and a driver burst into flames after a head-on collision with a truck.

The fire killed all the six people in the car and two passengers in the truck. Another passenger in the truck was slightly injured and taken to hospital.

The authorities have already started an investigation into the cause of the accident.
