U.S. solution to Syria issue doomed to failure

In the beginning of February, China and Russia vetoed the UN Security Council's proposal on the Syria issue and it disrupted the United States and other western countries' strategic intention of "copying the Libya mode" for the Syria issue.

In order to cope with this change, the United States gave a series of opinions and proposals on solving the Syria issue during the period of the "Friends of Syria" meeting held not long ago. The U.S.-edition "solution on Syria issue" has become very clear and its key points include:

First, pre-setting the goal of regime change

The United States, ignoring the fundamental public will of Syria, regards itself as the master of Syria's domestic affairs, declares that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has lost the legality of governing Syria, and takes Bashar al-Assad's resignation as the symbol of solving the Syria issue. After the UN Security Council's proposal was vetoed, the United States, European Union and some Arab countries recalled or withdrew their ambassadors from Syria successively and promoted the UN General Assembly to approve a new proposal on the Syria issue; invited Syria's opposition to the "Friends of Syria" meeting and acknowledged that the "Syrian National Council" of the opposition is the legal representative of Syrian people. It also declared a series of sanctions on Syria to isolate and pressure the Bashar al-Assad administration in all aspects of the politics, diplomacy and economy.

The USA is unfortunately unreliable in its assessment of Syria and is generally utterly lacking in credibility these days. The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan by US forces killed thousands of innocent civilians - women, children, elderly - all non-combatants - which the USA conveniently washed away as "collateral damage". This is one of the worst kept unspoken lies of war and is a cleverly obscured fact of US operations abroad.Terrorists or enemy combatant leaders would often operate from their homes - so the US approach was to simply annihilate the property and all the inhabitants - collateral damage.The US revolution for independence was actually NOT a unanimous or overwhelming majority - in fact it was a minority of states that agreed and decided on behalf of the greater body to revolt against the oppressive British occupation and government - which gradually picked up momentum thanks to overt British arrogance and brutality - a hallmark of British and other european cultures.We only know about the Syria condition based on the severely biased propaganda laced sensationalist rhetoric from AP, Reuters, CNN, etc. If one examines the reporting of these global information giants - it should be easy to see the incredible western bias of these propaganda rags.For a reality check - take a look at Al Jazeera to compare reporting. Al Jazeera was endorsed by Hilary Clinton for its fairly unbiased reporting.

Still Chinese commentators display a reluctance to make detailed comparisons with the "Arab Spring" aspirations, claims of success and the problems in the Arab world which the bellicose ringleaders and the sycophantic supporter claimed would be to hand.
