SEOUL, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The Army 1st Corps of South Korea and the 2nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army signed a memorandum of understanding Friday to bolster joint maneuvers, local media reported.
The two sides agreed to share intelligence by deploying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) each quarter and hold biannual consultations on a mobile radar system, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Last year, the South Korean Army 1st Corps staged its first joint exercise with the U.S. Army mechanized infantry.
The accord will help strengthen interoperability between the allies, an official told Yonhap.
