The "Pripyatsky" National Park, Castle Hill in Turov, the late 18th-the 2nd half of the 19th century palace and park ensemble, the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, the 18th century St. Michael Archangel church in Mozyr, the 19th century St. Dormition Cathedral and the early 20th century St. Trinity Church in Rechitsa.
The Gomel oblast is located in the south-east of Belarus, along the state border with Russia and Ukraine. It is the biggest region that unites 21 administrative districts (raions).
One third of the territory today is forests, with pine forests prevailing. The region is home to half of oak forests of the country. There are a lot of lakes and big navigable rivers, including the Dnieper, the Sozh, the Berezina, and the Pripyat.
