Quick Comment: Three meanings of Boston blasts

(People's Daily Online)

15:10, April 16, 2013

According to Chinese commentator Yang Yu, firstly, the Boston blasts on Monday is the most seriously attack since September 11, 2001, when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center (WTO) Twin Towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington. If we say the WTO is the bridge of the nose of the United States, then Boston the softest belly.

Secondly, the September 11 attacks happed on a plane, therefore the attackers can be quickly identified. But this time, the U.S. is probably not able to find out the targets to strike.

Thirdly, the United States has waged two wars and killed Bin Laden in the past 12 years, but there is still terrorist attack. This will have long-term influence on people's psychology and national policies.
