Instructive suggestions on electronic business development during the period of the 12th Five-Year Plan were released yesterday by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) on the sideline of the 2011 China (Beijing) Electronic Business Conference.
According to the suggestions, by 2015, 80 percent of the large-scale enterprises in China will use e-business. Meanwhile, retail sales through networks will occupy 9 percent of the social consumer goods. What's more, the overall objective also expects that the import and export trade volume through the application of electronic commerce will account for 15 percent of the total volume of import and export trade four years later.
Li Jinqi, the director of the electronic business and information department of MOFCOM, said that many supportive measures will be adopted to effectively implement the policy. During the 12th Five-Year Plan, traditional circulation enterprises will win help from MOFCOM to integrate online and offline resources to carry out online marketing.
MOFCOM will also impel online retail enterprises to innovate business models and show a welcome attitude toward all retail forms. In the meantime, those conditional enterprises are encouraged to construct logistical infrastructure and jointly promote the development of an electronic business service industry.
