XINING, China, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Turkish rider David De La Fuente Rasilla from Touku Sekerspor(TRK) came first Monday in the second stage of the 12th Tour de Qinghai Lake, taking the yellow jersey away from Sacha Modolo, winner of the last stage.

Luis Mas Bonet won the green jersey that represents the best sprinter, and Sergey Renev from Kazakhstan's Continental Team Astana (ASZ) became the Best Asian Rider, putting on the blue jersey.

Amore and Vita's Hossein Alizadeh, who had a excellent performance at the KOM point that is 3,786 meters above the sea level was given the first polka dot jersey.

The second stage stretched from Huzhu Tu Autonomous County to Guide County of Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, covering a total distance of 151 kilometers.

"The slopes and high altitude made today a good opportunity for the Asian riders. As the following stages are getting more mountainous, I hope Asian riders who are good at climbing could grab the chances," said Alizadeh.

According to Alexander Donike, the race's chief commentator, there will be even higher altitudes in the coming days. "The game has just begun," said Alizadeh.
