The 2013 Taiyuan International Marathon has attracted over 30,000 runners, said the organizers here on Friday.
Saturday's races include men's and women's marathon, half marathon and mini marathon. According to Gao Bo, deputy director of the organizing committee, 2,013 runners have registered for marathon, and the numbers of runners in half marathon and mini marathon are 3,104 and 25,000 respectively.
There will be 49 foreign runners from 14 countries and regions, including Kenya, Ethiopia and Morocco.
"I have tried on the road after I came here, and I'm ready for it," said Asfaw Gashaw Melese, three-time champions of Shanghai International Marathon, on Friday.
