In recent years, parts of tourist attractions especially the world heritage and national scenic areas constantly raised ticket prices and some scenic spots even rose by more than 200 percent. During the International Labor Day holidays on May 1, some scenic spots ushered in a new round of prices increase.

From the present situation, the climax of a new round of price adjustment is coming, said Dai Bin, president of the China Tourism Academy. In the past price adjustment, the ticket prices of the world heritage scenic spots overall rose about 65 percent. Although it was caused by such reasonable reasons as inflationary pressures and investment in scenic spots, it has deviated from the public benefit of tourism resources.

The rise of ticket prices triggered the complaint from tourists. On a web portal, a survey of 1,000 netizens shows that the ticket prices of some scenic spots are too expensive and 89 percent said that it has severely affected their tourist enthusiasm.
