Popular Chinese actress Dong Jie married actor Pan Yueming in 2008 and gave birth to their son in 2009. However, rumors have surfaced online regarding their possible divorce.

Dong's management company confirmed these rumors and released a statement on Oct. 20 which listed Pan's gambling addiction and violent episodes as the main reasons for their divorce. Pan hit back later by saying Dong was cheating and hiding property. Eventually the six-year happy marriage turned into a sour verbal fight which damaged the reputation of both parties involved.
