JAMES Bond's Aston Martin DB5 and golden gun from "Skyfall" are among 50 years of Bond movie memorabilia that will go on display in Shanghai in the largest-ever exhibition devoted to the world's most famous secret agent.

"Design 007, 50 Years of Bond Style" features 587 props used in 23 007 films over 50 years. The exhibition will open at the Minsheng Art Museum on March 28.

It covers models, fashion, scenes, storyboards, concept artwork and artifacts from the series. There will be plenty of the famous gadgets from Q Branch, film clips and experts.

The latest Bond film, "Skyfall," just opened in China to rave reviews.

The Bond franchise has influenced fashion, lifestyle, art, music, technology, travel and automotive design. The exhibition covers the distinctive design, craftsmanship and style of the suave and deadly British spy.

The exhibition will feature 49 props from "Skyfall," including the Aston Martin and Bond's golden gun, says Si Amei, a member of the organizing team in Shanghai.

The exhibition will also feature costumes worn by Bond Girls, such as the red gown worn by Sophie Marceau in "The World Is Not Enough" (1999) as well as Michelle Yeoh in "Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997).

Signature Bond items featured in the exhibition include the steel teeth worn by Richard "Jaws" Kiel in "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977); the Anthony Sinclair overcoat worn by Sean Connery in "Dr No" (1962) and the poker table from "Casino Royale" (2006).

The exhibition is organized by the London-based Barbican Centre, Tix-Media and Arts UK. Shanghai will be the first Asia stop for the show that opened in London and is now in Toronto.

Organizers say the props will give a flavor of Bond over the years and help visitors understand how a Bond movie is produced.
