International dragon boat race concludes in S. China

FANGCHENGGANG, South China, June 6 (Xinhua) -- An international dragon boat race came to a successful conclusion in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Thursday.

The International Sea Dragon Boat Race, which was held in Guangxi's coastal city of Fangchenggang, drew 21 teams from nine countries and regions.

Shangsisishang, a local dragon boat team from Fangchenggang and last year's runner-up, was crowned this year, beating out strong competitors from Britain, Russia and Canada.

The event, which marked its 10th anniversary this year, was witnessed by around 10,000 fans.
