China's top legislator urges improvements to People's Congress system

BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, has urged Party members working in the line of the National People's Congress (NPC) to make further contributions to the country's People's Congress system.

Wu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, made the remarks in a congratulatory letter to a meeting for Party member representatives under various NPC organizations that was held from Wednesday to Thursday.

Party organizations and members at all levels under the NPC should improve their abilities to advise and serve the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress Standing Committee to improve our country's People's Congress system, Wu said.
