The International Cooperation Program

The aim of the International Cooperation Program is to promote international cooperation between the Center and various international organizations and NGOs on issues relating to China’s sustainable development. As a practitioner of development, our strength is to build bridges between China and the outside world, cooperating with international partners and our local stakeholders through local programs .

Highlights

Monitoring and Evaluating: monitoring and evaluating the implementation of projects in our pilot towns, helping local authorities to integrate urban and rural development planning;
. Consulting and Practicing: providing professional consultation and expertise support to our partners, and conducting field works and surveys in our pilot towns;
. Human Resources: several research fellows, 37% of our researchers have obtained doctorates and 37% master degrees.

Areas of Work

. Development Studies: cities and towns development, integrated urban and rural development, poverty reduction, social equality and exclusion;
. Development Planning: strategic planning for development of cities and towns, including socio-economic development and land use planning;
. Environmental and Sustainable Development: urban environment, climate change, natural resources, and sustainable energy;
. Governance and Public Management: institutional reform, decentralization, public services, governance and sustainable markets.
