Introduction
Ministry of
Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China is
established in 2008 as a department under the State Council responsible
for the administration of China’s industrial branches and information
industry.
The main responsibilities of the ministry are: Drawing up China’s
industrial planning, policies and standards; monitoring the daily
operation of industrial branches; promoting the development of major
technological equipment and indigenous innovation; administrating
communication sector; guiding the construction of information system;
safeguarding the information security of China. As an industrial
management department it guides the development of different industries
but not interferes in the enterprises’ business.
中华人民共和国工业和信息化部是于2008年成立的中央部委。它主要负责工业行业管理和信息化等工作。
工业和信息化部主要职责为：拟订实施行业规划、产业政策和标准；监测工业行业日常运行；推动重大技术装备发展和自主创新；管理通信业；指导推进信息化建设；协调维护国家信息安全等。作为行业管理部门，主要是管规划、管政策、管标准，指导行业发展，但不干预企业生产经营活动。
