BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC), China's ruling party, has pledged to continue to work closely with the country's non-Communist parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC).

The CPC Central Committee wrote a letter of acknowledgement to the central committees of the eight political parties and the ACFIC on Friday.

"It has always been a strategic policy of the CPC to unite all non-Communist parties and the ACFIC to jointly work for the country's prosperity, the nation's revitalization and people's happiness," the letter said.

"As the CPC has always done, we will give full play to the magic tool role the united front has played," it said.

The united front is a magic tool for pooling strength from various directions, achieving new victories in socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoting harmonious relations among the country's political parties, ethnic and religious groups, people from different walks of life and compatriots at home and abroad, the letter said.
