11th Cross-Strait Relations Symposium to be held

BEIJING, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The 11th Cross-Strait Relations Symposium will be held in the city of Pingtan in east China's Fujian Province on March 22.

The symposium is being organized by the Beijing-based Research Center on Cross-Strait Relations.

Attendees will discuss theories regarding the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, as well as cross-Strait communication and the comprehensive development of cross-Strait relations.

The event's organizers said it will be attended by academics from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Officials from the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee will be also present at the symposium.
