BEIJING, Aug. 21 -- Leading Party officials at various levels have been told to accurately spot and analyze flaws in the work style of themselves and others in a key educational campaign.
According to a circular made public Wednesday, officials should self-check and help others spot undesirable behavior in ideology, work style and self-discipline, especially those concerning formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance.
The "mass line" education campaign was carried out under a guideline which requires CPC officials and members to prioritize the interests of the people and work on their behalf.
The circular urged officials and supervisors to clearly realize the nature, roots and harm of problematic behavior and lay down detailed plans to rectify it.
The circular cited specific issues such as redundant documents and meetings, rampant celebration and luxurious receptions, office construction, inefficiency, and the personal use of office vehicles.
Party members are encouraged to expose their own defects while exposing flaws of their colleagues in a responsible and honest manner.
Meanwhile, special supervisory teams at all levels were urged to meticulously review the campaign results submitted by local Party organizations.
