Joint sea & air patrol in East China Sea

China's patrol ship "Haijian 66" takes part in a joint sea and air patrol in the East China Sea, Dec. 17, 2011. The patrol was launched Saturday, involving patrol ships "Haijian 50", "Haijian 66" and the "Haijian B-7115" helicopter. China has 32,000 km of coastline. The total area of its territorial seawater, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone, which is recognized under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, is three million square km.
