Chinese peacekeepers to Congo (K) win medals

The medal-granting ceremony for the officers and men of 14th Chinese peacekeeping force to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (K) was held on the morning of October 17, 2012, local time, in Bukavu city in eastern Congo (K).

Roger Missy, special representative of the United Nations Secretary-General, attended the ceremony and spoke highly of the contributions made by the Chinese peacekeepers in maintaining smooth road traffic and offering medical support for Congo (K) since they took over the duties over 6 months ago.
