The 14th escort taskforce of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) arrived at Karachi Port of Pakistan at 11:00 a.m. on March 3, 2013, local time, to participate in the "Peace - 13" multi-national maritime joint military exercise advocated and organized by the Pakistani Navy in Karachi and the adjacent waters, Pakistan, from March 4 to 8. The exercise is composed of two parts: the coast and port special operation forces’ drills and the ship-aircraft joint maritime drills.
24 warships, 25 aircraft and special operation forces from 14 countries including China, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan participate in the exercise.
