South China Sea Fleet conducts three-dimensional cruise around reefs of Nansha Islands

The "Jinggangshan" ship force group composed of the "Jinggangshan" amphibious dock landing ship and the "Yulin" guided missile frigate of the joint mobile ship formation under the South China Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) arrived at the waters of the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea and cruised around the Zhubi Reef, the Nanxun Reef and the Dongmen Reef presently stationed by the officers and men of the South China Sea Fleet in the air and on the sea surface on the morning of March 23, 2013.

Meanwhile, the force group consisting of the "Lanzhou" guided missile destroyer and the "Hengshui" guided missile frigate of the joint mobile ship formation under the South China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy conducted combined assault maritime mobile ship formation drill with an air strike group composed of various shore-based airplanes such as early-warning aircraft, fighter, bomber and fighter-bomber.

The "Jinggangshan" ship force group will continue to carry out the three-dimensional cruise around the Chigua Reef, the Yongshu Reef and the Huayang Reef stationed by the officers and men of the South China Sea Fleet in the next few days.
