China's main warships to take part in China-Russia joint naval drills

The Shenyang warship is a Type-051C guided missile destroyer with the hull number of 115. It entered into service in 2006. It is one of the latest guided missile destroyers independently produced by China. (navy.81.cn/Qian Xiaohu)

The Shenyang warship is from the North  Sea Fleet. It is 154 meters in length, 17.1 meters in width, 35 meters in height, with full load displacement of 6,600-plus tons, maximum speed of 29 knots, and a cruising speed of 17 knots.

Chinese Navy's main warships which will participate in the China-Russia "Joint Sea-2013" joint naval drills in Peter the Great Bay and Sea of Japan from July 5 to July 12, are from the North Sea Fleet and the South Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN).

The ships are the Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Wuhan and Lanzhou guided missile destroyers, the Yancheng and Yantai guided missile frigates, as well as the Hongze Lake comprehensive supply ship. Three new type of ship-borne helicopters and a special operation detachment will also participate in the joint naval drills.
