BEIJING, September 9 (ChinaMil) -- At the invitation of Admiral Jonathan W. Greenert, Chief of Naval Operations of the United States, Wu Shengli, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and commander of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN), set out on September 8, 2013 to pay an official goodwill visit to the U.S.
During his visit, Wu Shengli will meet with U.S. naval leaders, exchange his views with them on such issues as establishing new relations between the Chinese and the U.S. navies and constructively pushing forward the development of the relations between the two navies, and visit troop units of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps.
