DJAKARTA, September 22 (ChinaMil) -- The "Peace Ark" hospital ship of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) which is on the "Harmonious Mission 2013" wrapped up its goodwill visit to Indonesia and joint medical tour, left Djakarta, capital of Indonesia, on the morning of Sept 20, 2013 to pay a visit and offer medical services to Sihanoukville in south Cambodia.
The "Peace Ark" hospital ship arrived at the Labuan Bajo 1,500 kilometers east of Djakarta, at 09:00 on Sept 10 and took part in the medical tour jointly launched by the navies of Indonesia, China and Singapore.
During its stay in Indonesia, the hospital ship conducted out-patient treatments for 1,286 persons/times, performed 22 operations and made special examinations for 298 people, and took part in the celebration of Sail Komodo 2013 attended by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, president of Indonesia, and a maritime parade on Sept 14.
It is learnt that the hospital ship is scheduled to arrive in Sihanoukville on Sept 24, local time, to make a six-day-long goodwill visit and offer humanitarian medical services.
