Taiwan to end adoption chaos

Beijing, Nov.11 (People's Daily Online) --Taiwan's child adoption system is relatively loose, and it has led to worries that the system may promote child trafficking.

On Nov. 11, the “Legislative Yuan” of Taiwan will examine the amendment to the Child and Youth Welfare Act according to the procedures, and if it is approved, adoption in Taiwan will be strictly standardized.

The under-the-table method lacks professional guidance and criteria, and it leaves the door open for future civil disputes.
