On Monday, Taipei-based Eva Air and its regional subsidiary, Uni Air increased its direct flight service from Xi'an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province, to Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan Province, to seven a week, Xinhuanet.com reported on Wednesday.
An airbus A330-200 carrying 252 passengers was used on Monday, marking the official opening of the Xi'an to Taipei non-stop service offered by Eva and Uni Air.
Flight B7131 departed from Xi'an at 3:30 pm on Monday and arrived at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 7:10 pm. The return B7132 flight departed Taipei at 10:30 am and arrived in Xi'an at 2:30 pm.
Currently, flights from Xi'an to Taipei are available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
China Airlines offers a flight departing from Xi'an at 8:55 am and arriving in Taipei at 12:30 pm, Monday and Friday. While China Eastern Airlines offers the same service every Wednesday and Saturday with one flight departing Xi'an at 8:50 am and arriving in Taipei at 12:00 pm. And Hainan Airlines offers one every Friday which departs Xi'an at 8:55 am and arrives in Taipei at 12:30 pm.
