There are currently more than 100 million single men and women in China, and many dating sites have emerged to meet their demands. However, experts have urged single persons to exercise extra caution when dating someone they met online.
Easy to set standards for choosing a spouse, but hard to find right one
Zhao Qing, a 29-year-old female university teacher, has been single for five years, and she goes on three blind dates on average each week. Her QQ signature reads "I must get married before the end of the world in 2012." It is now two months away from "the end of the world," but she just experienced another unsuccessful blind date. "When I was 26 years old, I broke up with my first love to find a better life partner, and now I regret it," Zhao said. She just wants to find a man who has a sound mind and body, a relatively high salary, and does not look ugly. However, she becomes picky every time when she goes on a blind date. “We spinsters have ourselves to blame. I also expect a God-given love, but time does not wait. Blind dating is more realistic for me,” she said.
