Liu’s scissors shop named after Liu Chunhe, the first owner, was established in the late Qing Dynasty in 1870s. It is famous for the blacksmithing of cutters such as knives and scissors. The third and fourth successors of the blacksmithing craft are running the shop together. If no offspring in Liu’s fifth-generation is willing to carry on the craft of sharpening cutters, Liu will recruit apprentices from the community to let the century-old shop go on.
