An official from the Kunming government said whether the city will have its own paraxylene, or PX project, has not been decided yet, according to zhongguowangshi, one of Xinhua News Agency's verified micro blogs at Sina Weibo.

The report said the planned refinery project in Anning, a satellite county-level city about 35 km from Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, has been approved by the government. But the PX project, which is related to the refinery project, is still on hold pending more research and discussion, the report quoted the anonymous official as saying.
