A few days ago, Chongqing Guotai Arts center invited a special performer, Xia Ruixian, a 9-year-old girl suffering from uraemia, to sing in their public-spirited show. She sang "My life is so happy" and "Mother's eyes" on the stage.
Xia loves music and dance; she has passed the six-grade examination of vocal musical learning and three-grade of piano playing, and she is also learning to play harp now. She is active in taking part in cultural and artistic performances at school. "She has musical talent", said people who know her.
Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with kidney failure in last year, and has to do hemodialysis to maintain her live. Her dream of singing on the stage has supported her fighting against sickness.
After learning Xia's story, Chongqing Arts Performance Group decided to make her dream come true. They invited Xiao to sing at the show; and part of the box office revenue were donated to Xia for medical treatment, and the rest will be used to set up a special fund for helping children like Xia realize their dreams.
