SHANGHAI, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Police arrested late Saturday a man who murdered six people, including four colleagues, a driver and a barracks guard in east China's Shanghai Municipality, the Shanghai government said on its microblog account
The 62-year-old murderer, surnamed Fan, pounded his colleague surnamed Zhang with tools and killed him at around 5 p.m. Saturday at a chemical factory in Baoshan District over an economic dispute, according to the microblog at the Twitter-like Sina Weibo service.
He then took his hunting rifle hidden in his dormitory and asked a driver to ride him away to another district. He gunned down the driver on the way and then drove the vehicle back.
He killed a guard at the gate of a troops barracks and grabbed the soldier's gun. After returning to the plant, he killed another three people with his hunting rifle. He was captured by police who were investigating the case in the factory at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
Police are still investigating the case.
