At about 3 p.m., June 16, 2013, "Coconut Princess" cruise ship leaved the Xiuying port, Haikou with a long whistle. Its destination was the seat of the Sansha government: Yongxing Island of Xisha.
On June 24, 2012, China established the city of Sansha on Yongxing Island in the southernmost province of Hainan. The newest Chinese city would seem to be a paradise. "Coconut Princess" plies between Hainai Island and Yongxing Island regularly, providing passenger transport and freight transport service.
Because tourism resources have not been fully exploited, the passengers are mainly staff on duty, troops and their family members except local fishermen.
"Coconut Princess" provides simple dinner to passengers. Restaurant waiters kept telling everyone that food supply on board is limited and we had better not to waste. Nightlife onboard is plentiful: some went to a Karaoke; some watched movies; some chatted with each other.
At 5 a.m., some shutterbugs gathered on deck to take photos and enjoyed the picturesque scenery. Sea gulls circled over the sparkling sea. What a wonderful moment!
A few hours later, "Coconut Princess" arrived at the Yongxing Island.
