Sansha expels 164 foreign illegal fishing vessels in one year

According to the Sansha municipality, Sansha government has fulfilled its administrative functions since its foundation. The municipal garrison, maritime garrison commands, fishery administration and ocean surveillance have launched joint patrols for 192 times covering a line of 20,409 sea miles. The joint patrols have examined 89 fishing vessels, punished 14 illegal operating fishing boats and expelled 164 foreign fishing vessels in a year. Illegal fishing activities have been well prevented. The coverage of administrative jurisdiction of Sansha city has been further expanded.

At the same time, Sansha government got achievements by fighting against illegal travels, antiques stealing, and other acts of destruction of resources. The interests of the national marine have been well safeguarded. In the next step, Sansha will strengthen the construction of law enforcement equipments, expand and strengthen the scope of law enforcement in order to continue making positive contributions to the safeguard of maritime rights and protection of ecological resources
