DALIAN, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Six people who were buried in a landslide in northeast China's Liaoning Province early Sunday morning have been confirmed dead, said local authorities.

All bodies of the six victims have been found by rescuers who are continuing clean-up and relief work, according to local government sources.

The victims were in a temporary shed of a construction site when the rain-triggered landslide occurred at around 4:20 a.m. at the community in Zhongshan District in Dalian City, rescuers said.

From Saturday night to Sunday morning, urban areas of Dalian have been battered by heavy rains for over 10 hours, with a rainfall of over 100 mm being recorded in many places.
