With parents bedridden, 12-year-old boy becomes pillar of the family

Wang Zhihua, 12, lives in Changfeng County of Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui province. In August 2012, Zhang Yinxia, Zhihua's mother, was diagnosed with Green Valle syndrome - a serious neurologic disease which can cause permanent physical disablement. Wang Bangfu, Zhihua's father, was bedridden in May 2013 because he had suffered from osteoporosis, rheumatism and hyperosteogeny for years. Since then, Wang Zhihua, the 12-year-old boy became the pillar of his family.

Facing the predicament, Zhihua takes the responsibility to take care of the parents and do all the housework. At the same time, as a student, he studies hard and dreams of becoming a doctor when growing up to save other's lives and cure his parents.
