Yucai Primary School located in a village in Xuanen County, central China's Hubei province is a school of two people: 58-year-old Zhao Guoqing teaches Wang Wenqiang, a 6-year-old boy, in first year. Zhao came to teach in this isolated village in 2000. At that time there were two teachers and 60 students in the school. In recent years, more and more students left the school to study in the big cities where their parents work. Four years ago, the other teacher was transferred to another school. When the new term starts in this autumn, Zhao only has one student. Zhao said he will fulfil a teacher's responsibility as long as there is a child who is willing to study.
