BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Vice Premier Wang Qishan met on Tuesday with Mexican Finance Minister Jose Antonio Meade, vowing to work with Mexico to ensure the success of the upcoming G20 summit.
Wang spoke highly of Mexico's work as the host of the summit, which is slated for June 18 to 19 in the resort city of Los Cabos.
China and Mexico, as both G20 members and emerging economies, should enhance communication and coordination, build a consensus and cement cooperation with other G20 members for the success of the summit, Wang said.
The top priority for the world economy is ensuring recovery, growth and employment, as the overall situation is still "complicated and grim," he said.
Meade said he appreciated China's support for the summit's preparatory work, adding that Mexico is ready to reinforce its coordination with China to ensure a positive outcome for the meeting.
