Right-wing force to turn Japan into isolated island

Japanese politics has been moving to the right for some time, with politicians beautifying Japan’s invasion history, denying the Nanjing massacre and refusing to admit Japan's guilt on the comfort women issue. As Japanese rightists’ force is expanding, the Japanese government has done nothing to restrain it, but sheltered or even encouraged it.

In Japan, the “feelings of ethnic superiority” and “theory of social system superiority” that despised Asia were not fully uprooted by the “U.S. occupation” and “democratic reform” after the Second World War. More than 20 years have passed since the Cold War was over; Japan still has not found a clear strategic orientation.

At the beginning of 1990s, Japan once regarded “returning to Asia” as the core of its foreign strategy. However, Japan's status as “a normal country” in East Asia was always not recognized.

China's economy has been developing rapidly and comprehensive national strength and regional influence have also been growing rapidly. Japan has feelings of “being surpassed” and right wing thinking continues to warm up in Japan.
