BEIJING, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Li Yuanchao, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Monday met with a delegation from Turkey's Republican People's Party.
The Turkish delegation was headed by Kemal Kilicdaroglu, chairman of Turkey's Republican People's Party.

Maintaining the momentum of the bilateral relationship between the two emerging countries is in line with the common interests of the people of China and Turkey, Li said during the meeting.

China always attaches importance to its relations with Turkey, and it is ready to further enhance strategic cooperation between the two countries, Li said.

He added that the CPC is willing to increase exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with the Turkish party in a friendly way to better benefit the people of both countries.

Kilicdaroglu said his party adheres to the one-China policy and will continue to support China's drive to safeguard national unity and unification.

The Republican People's Party is looking forward to learning more about the CPC's governance experience and is willing to expand exchanges to boost economic and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
