Syrian deputy foreign minister to visit China

BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad will visit China as part of China's efforts to push for a political solution to the Syrian conflict.

Miqdad will be in China from Feb. 4 to 7 to meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily news briefing Monday.
