Senior CPC official meets top DPRK leader's special envoy

BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with the special envoy of Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) here Wednesday.

Wang, who is vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with Choe Ryong Hae, a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Choe left Pyongyang by air earlier Wednesday morning.
